about to buy a 1984 190e 2.3
Hey dudes, I'm about to buy a pretty beat up 1984 190e 2.3 for only like 500 dollars.
Are there things that I will have to look out or be careful with this car?
what mods can I do to it?

Yea, depending on where you live, getting it past the emissions test might be tough, I'm in a similair position, I bought mine a few months ago for 950, but apart from the smog and a flex joint problem on the drive shaft, she's in pretty good shape.
As far as mods go, Eibach has some bodykits available, I know of a guy Indra Paulus, email: indra168id@yahoo.com, who apparantly has some nice evo II kits, whether or not he still has them, I don't know
all in all, I think you're first step is making sure it runs, and then it will probably need a paint job, www.autopartswarehouse.com has a lot of parts for the 190E, trust me they are tough to find
