Strange noise coming from exhaust on the 190
There is a strange sound coming from the middle of my exhaust that sounds like a gargle sound, sort of like boiling water in a coffee maker... crazy description I know. But anyway, I was wondering if any of you smart guys on here could maybe guess as to what it is. It only seems to sound at idle, and goes away when im on the road, at least I think it does, who knows because the engine is all whirled up by then and drowns it out. Any clues??

Could also be a leak in the exhaust system. Unfortunately the only way to really chase down the funny sound is to get the car on a lift and have it running while you inspect the exhaust.
A set of jackstands would do in a pinch, but it can be a little clausterphobic lying on your back under a car and it gets hot pretty darned quick when the car's running.
