190E 16V Aircond COmpressor same as other models?
Hi,
Does anyone know if the aircond compressor of a 16v model is the same as the other 190E models? Because one mechanic said it's not and mine is jammed. It would be very difficult to find another unit though so just getting a second opinion.

Also, it seems damn ear every part I get for mine is unique to the 16v.

Oh well, I hope it is the same. The mech a friend checked with said it was different but when he, the mech, sourced the parts it was any other compressor for Mercs!! Idiot mech didn't know what he was talking about!!

'85 190E 2.3-16 '99 C280 '11 GLK350
The 1984 models had a unique compressor.The 2.3-16 uses the same compressor as the 2.3L 8 valve and diesel, for the years 85 to mid 87. So, just stick with the year of the car.
