I didnt search the forum before I started writing. Sorry if this has already been talked about.

The w201 ended production with my car, a 93 2.6. 1,200 made or soemthing.

Since I have one of the newest w201, I can safley say, that anyone with factory original headlights/foglights. Perticualrly the fog lights probably have all that nasty sun and weather wear on them?

Mt point- If you do have that, and you take some w10 -30 motor oil and put it on a cloth of some kind and rub it into your lens, it will make it nice again. Not new looking, but smoother.

I did it today. Found this out ona ccident after getting my oil changed. The guy spilled some on my headlgiht when throwing out the bottle. I looked at where he spilled it today and saw I could actually see through the lens again.

Dont know if this is a well known fact or soemthing I might have stumbled apon by accident that does a good job.

I dont know the long term affects of this. I washed the car immidiatly afterwards. I was at a gas station and ran it through the soft touch. The lens was still clean looking. My fog lights were much brighter tonight too.

If anyone knows any negative effects please let me know, but so far, nothing I can complain about.
