K&N filter cleaning
try the above. it's rediculous to think that on this planet, the only solvent for
a K&N can only be found in the secret sauce concocted by K&N company.
basically, you're looking for a degreaser which will not leave a residue. some
folks have used kerosene but as you read, it will leave enough to cause a
problem.
you should NOT have to buy a new filter to replace a dirty K&N filter. you should
NOT have to buy K&N super secret solution to clean your filter.
just be mindful of anything which might compromise the structural integrity of
the filter or degrate the filtering device/media.
