I've got a 1986 Mercedes 190E 2.3 that my family has owned since it was brand new. About 10 years ago, i'd say 1996/1997 The
a/c quit working, and it was brought to the dealership where the
refrigent was converted to new spec (R134a). The A/C still doesn't work. Now the car belonged to my grandma up until about 2005 so she never had a problem riding in the heat, being old and all I guess. But now I'd like the A/C fixed, I've tried adding more refringent
while the car is running with the blower running, which comes with the conclousion of cooler air, than outside air, but not cool enough to be considered "air conditioning" at all. When taken to the dealer they hooked it up to their computer, and said there was
nothing wrong with the air, but they had a
problem with their computer, so there could be an error. They charged me $150 anyways which is fine. Just wondering of anybody could tell me what I might need to check for. Sorry about the long life story.
