what to look for: used 190-16V, high miles
Subject pretty much says it all.
I remember liking the cars when they came out and I just started working for a dealership parts dept and saw one of these that- in the local market- was priced pretty fair. 232,00 km. So I get to thinking it'd be an uber-cool DD. I like the driving position over anything else newer (aside from the 124)- I like an upright sitting position in a car... and don't care about the tiny backseat. probably this or a 124 coupe would be my two most likely matches.
Now I know cars, but I don't know *these* cars. Aside from the obvious like syncros, rust what should I most be concerned about?
My aunt has a late (1993?) base 190 (yes very basic, but 2.3, Canadian Special Edition car) and *nothing* has gone wrong with it...so I can't glean any info there. I know the depreciation on the 16V's is horrible, so I tend to think there is a reason behind that...?
