About brake pad wear sensor.
Hi,
I am a newbie mbworld.org Forum user. I have an '83 190 E 2.0L.
I need some help about my baby's brake pad wear sensor. I replaced wear sensors with brake pads sometime ago and I regretfully noticed that my car's brake pad wear indicator was cancelled. First, I checked out of the panel if there's something wrong, but I saw that there's not. I want to learn about the whole system's principle of work.
How can I troubleshoot that problem? Where should I begin first? What can you recommend me to do?
I already thank you so much for your advices...
PS: Sorry for my bad English, I am a Turk. I hope it will not matter for any of you.

It' very simple, the brake wear indicator lamp is waiting for ground to complete the circuit and turn on. When the front brake pads wear down, the sensors come in contact with the rotor, thereby supplying the ground.
I wouldn't be too concerned about this issue since there are other things more important to worry about. Just give your brake pads a visual inspection every time you change your oil, and replace if necessary.

The circuit that you have puts the light on when the pad sensor wears through the plastic on the sensor pin, the pin touches the disc and the circuit is complete when the pedal is pushed.
On car 2001 on it is a different system, the pads have 2 wires, when the pads are worn out, one wire is cut and the wear lamp comes on all of the time.
So the first one is a closed circuit and the later cars a open circuit
