Winter tires and rim price questions
Anyone has an opinion on reasonably priced winter tires? I am just looking for grip (and low price) more than "performance".
Yesterday was one bad icy storm followed by snow and then the snow covered the sheet ice road which was more than unpredictable. I was driving at 50 Km/h (30 Mi/h) with the flashers on, where I would normally do 100, and still found it scary with my new baby.
Also, locally there is a set of (factory standard) rims sold for $150/all four. Is that a good price? Or should I make the guy an offer if I go for winter tires?
