6 quarts, nothing special on changing the oil. The filter is behind the air filter chamber and remove the splash guard below the engine and the oil pan will be there.

The TOTAL (fresh engine or rebuild) rated capacity is 5.5 liters (5.8 qts),
For the 8 valve M102, in case anyone is interested, it's 5.0L (5.2 qts).
When doing a filter and oil change, you're not going to get all the oil out, so go easy on that 5th and 6th bottle by checking the dipstick.

99' E320 4MATIC ESTATE / 92' 190E 2.6
My 92' 2.6 goes 5000m between changes. Requires 5.5 quarts and usually 500m before, it runs a wee bit low on oil. No smoke, low compression or leaks, just burns a bit over time. She just keeps going. 165,000m going strong.
