I have been interested in the 190 E for years now and was wondering what years and models are the most desirable?

1993 2.6. It starts in first gear. It has the bigger engine. What more can you ask for. Mine even has a locking rear when I spin my tires...

...Ofcourse there is always the sport-line...

There were nearly 2 million W201 produced between 1982 and 1993 . . . they're pretty easy to find.

Look in your penny saver or on craigslist or something.

I recommend getting a 2.6, Also look for the turbo model 2.6. It was a very rare option with the 190E's. One way to tell is to look on the exhaust manifold and on the 3rd runner you should see a blow off valve.
