Power Seats on a 1984 W201 190E 2.3
My power seats do not work. After 'chasing down' the lack of juice I have found that the fuses for the seat are not getting power. I have yet to check, but I would think that the line to the fuses for the seat would come directly from the battery. Any thoughts on this?

The fuse box cover should have a section for "right front seat" or something like that. If you're blue cover is not legible, I will check on one of mine.

The fuses for the power seats on my 1984 are not in the large fuse box. Rather there is a separate one forward to the large one. I jumped a wire from the battery to these fuses and the seats worked. I am puzzled as to why there is no power to the fuses.

Replace your relay, its located in the secondary fuse box (where the fuses for the seats are). If i have a chance ill post back with a designation plate to show which. Should be two in there, a black and a silver one. Its the silver. Dont quote me on this but i think it runs 30-40 at the dealer new.

The box has a place for four relays. There are two in there. Both are silver. I need to look up the part numbers. I would not be surprised if these relays went bad and the relays in the box are not the correct type.
