I have a 92 190E 2.6, and the heat is always on , the temp control wheel seems to have no effect. A friend said something about a connection on the control (behind the dash) has a soldier joint that cam loose and most likely is causing the problem. (says no ground) Before I tear apart the control, is there any one else who has expierienced the same problem? or has advice???

I have the same problem, wont close of the valve to the heater core. Haven't figured out why yet.

Except to pull the glove box find the line to the valve and manually close it with a mightyvac.
