Transmission Swap?
I know I don't venture here often, but I need the help of the w201 gurus.
In town there is a sorta beat up w201 with a shot transmission. I have a parts 300ce I can get my hands on that I would like to donate the transmission from to said 190e. (both are 4spd Auto boxes) Should I grab the rear differential as well? Driveshaft? I think the 300ce is M104 and the 190e should be m103 (2.3L)
Would this be a bolt on swap? If not, what is entailed?
If we could get this 190e rolling my dad could save his 500e from getting any extra miles
Thanks

All the four, five and six cylinder W201 and W124 transmissions (not the V8 W124) are bolt on compatible. You will need the torque convertor to match the engine, but not 100% sure about the flywheel. Measure the driveshaft lengths to verifiy, but I believe the differnces there are between the four and six cylinder engines.
