Wheel help

I have a guy with a 84 cosworth buying my stock wheels and tires off my 2001 CLK 430.
we are wondering if the rears will fit his car. they are 245/40/ZR17 91ym+s michellin pilot sport AS tires. I'm no wheel and tire expert so all help is appreciated!

The 17" diameter isn't a problem, the W201 can do 17" . . . the big question is what the offset (ET) is on the rim face and the actual width of the rim. The W201 has been known to be able to fit 8" wide depending on the ET.

I plan to run C230 Sport wheels (17x7.5 front 17x8.5 rear) with 215/40 tires. Like MTI said the offset is going to dictate what size tire you can run.
