They only built 502 Evo I cars, the 2.5-16 they built a lot more of. Evo had a larger rear wing then a regular 16 valve and only came in the blueblack paint, so if it is any other color it is just a reg 16 valve. I think Evo I was 1990.

the 2,5-16 looks like a 2,3-16 no differences there.
evo1 has an additional front spolier with removable splitter, bigger wheelarches, bigger wing and was buil in 1989 (502 units all blue black 199)
here the 2,3-16 102.983 engine/ 2,5-16 102.990 engine:
the evo1 102.991 engine (the engine is very different then the normal 2,5-16, pistons, con.rods,crank, head...all build in 1989)
here with evo2 wheels:
and the evo2 (mine, 102.992 engine, again big differences to the evo1 engine, also 502 units build in 1990):
