Exclamation BRAIN BUSTER QUSTION

hi im new to the forums but its already providing me tons of information. okay well ive recently bought a 87 190e 2.3 and replaced the engine because the first piston had a giant hole. so after ive slapped in a new engine it wouldnt start. i took the spark plug out to see if there was spark and nothing at call coming out. i dont understand it at all cause with the old engine there was spark coming out of the spark plugs

changes:
spark plug
ignition coil
ignition module
distributor

checked:
sensors
fuse boxes
ecu
fuel

__________________________________________________ ______________
ive checked everything through out the engine and double check the volt within the ignition coil and reads 12v almoast 13. decided to not spend so much money and bought so extra parts from the pull-a-part and changed the ignition module and made sure the module was perfectly fine. changed the ignition coil 3 different time and nothing at all. it took the plug coming out from the ignition and placed a spark plug inside it and checked if there was spark and 3 times none. then i was messing around with the fuses 1/500 tries? there was spark and then nothing.decided to change the fuses and still nothing. tested the fusses 1st row 4 wasnt working middle row everything was working 3rd row 4 wasnt working. no more ideas in what to check.

you probably got a motor from a different year, you have to swap all the ignition modules, sensors, parts, etc from your old motor to the new one

different ignition system, it isnt sensing your crank, doesnt think the engine should be getting spark or fuel.

Possibly the crank sensor. The coil takes it's power from the crank turning over - so if this cable or connection is faulty - no spark.

Worth a try! Good luck.
