190e 2.3 1987 stalls

1987 mercedes 190e 2.3l
190e 2.3 1987 stalls
Car runs for a while then stalls. After sitting for a few minutes will start back up. While stalled, no spark out of coil. Ignition module suspected problem.
Anybody else have this problem? Also, how come module costs so much? $1500 cheapest at local auto parts. Could there be other problems with same symptoms? Fuel is good. good flow. Definitely ignition failure, then it comes back after about 10 min Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
