Need some purchasing advice - '91 2.6
If anyone's interested in offering their 2 cents, I'd really appreciate it!
This morning, I drove a '91 190e 2.6 that a guy is selling here locally. He's owned for a few years and has taken great care of it. Recently replaced shocks, struts, tires, brakes, battery, and many hoses.
Drives great and shifts well. Overall paint looks good, with typical small scuffs/scratches. Interior looks great and the MB-tex is very clean.
The car has 97k miles and has been taken care of.
What should I be offering on this car? I'm thinking he's pretty steep at $4500.

My 92 has 180,000 miles. She is a runner/dash lights are out because of in dash dimmer failing/ front struts and bushings shot/ leaks oil/ Just keeps running. I have been wanting to replace it for the last two years but it will not die...Seems steep but the strut replacement if done by indie can be a bit steep. Offer him less...

Thanks for taking the time to reply! I ended up passing on that '91, but have now found a low-mile '87 190D. Looking forward to bringing it home!

Just did rear brakes yesterday for the first time.(myself) $18.50 with the price of a candy bar. 15 minutes a side and needed only the tool set from the trunk. Priceless/indie quoted $100
