Screwed!
Answer my own question- no simple adhesives for the factory! No, no, those pieces might fall off at autobahn speeds.
The burl walnut is laminated to aluminum backing, which is then screwed to the glove box door, and the dash pieces above the center and left vents. You have to remove the entire vent housing which includes the areas for the switches above them.
