Immaculate 1987 190E 2.3-16 For Sale
Hi all,
I have a pristine 1987 Mercedes 190e 2.3-16 up for sale. My late father was the original owner of the car and maintained it meticulously throughout. The car has been idle for the better part of a year now stored in a garage and I have only taken it out this summer to have it sold. The pictures are after a simple exterior wash and not a full out detail. The car is immaculate. You can see for yourself here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/iliu/se...th/5854780593/
The reason I am posting it here is because I would love for the car to go to a good home. I can sell it via classifieds or ebay, however I feel it would be a great disrespect as the car was one of my father's absolute favorites. As much as I would like to keep it, it's just not feasible for my family or I at this point in time.
The vehicle comes in the champagne silver color, with 5spd dogleg manual transmission, leather and has 211000km on the dial. It is fully OEM aside from a drop in K&N air filter. Amazingly the car still starts with 1 crank and sounds like a dream. There is no hesitation, rough idle, timing chain noise of any sort. The car is ready to drive right away and still brings that smile to your face once you open it up to the higher RPMS!
The interior leather is perfect, no cracks and has been conditioned annually. The wood panels and dash are immaculate. It was NEVER driven in the winter and always put away covered in storage.
The only exterior imperfections are a few stone chips on the hood (covered with touch up paint) and a small spot of surface rust on the passenger side front door (which is visible in the photos if you look closely).
Asking price for the vehicle is $9000.
I also have a set of 17" AMG monoblock wheels with Hankook k102 tires available which was mounted on the car for 6 months, but my father did not like the balance and feel of the larger diameter wheels/low profile tires and has been off the car since. The tires are pretty much brand new. Bundled with the car I am willing to part with them for an additional $300, but $700 separately.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask/reply in the thread or e-mail me at iksl714 at gmail dot com. If you require any more photos, please let me know and I will be more than willing to provide.
Thank you for your time
Ian

Sorry for your loss, I don't imagine you'll have any trouble moving that beauty. GLWS.
