Evo 16"x8" ET34 Tyre Size
I just got a set of Evo1/R129 16"x8" ET34 15 slot alloys for my W201 but I'm trying to work out what tyre size to use without rubbing. It's not lowered but it has original sagged suspension and has been rubbing with 205/55/16's. I was thinking to try 215/45/16's rather than the 225/45/16's most seem to try on their 16v's. Any ideas what does't rub at least 99% of the time without flaired guards?

Here in the U.S., 215/45-16's are mostly "track" tires with very low UTQG wear ratings. Probably not the best choice for a daily driver. A better option would be 205/50-16, you'll find plenty of choices and they fit fine on an 8" wide wheel.
