1.9 190E Bogging down
Hi guys,
Have a bit of a problem here. I have a 1991 1.9 190E. It was bogging down quite a bit so decided to have a regular maintenance, the usual air/oil filter and oil. Replaced the oil with 5 litres of 10w-40.
Seems to have improved quite a bit after that but there is still a slight bit of hesitation when the car is cold. The throttle response becomes a lot better after the engine warms up and the temp comes upto 80. Just wanted to know what to fix before I open up the hood?
Also there is quite a fair bit of knocking in the engine when I turn the AC on, without it there is no noise whatsoever.
Another thing I noticed is that the oil pressure is at a full 3 at idle when the engine is cold, but when hot, the idle oil pressure is around 1.5-2. Is this considered to be ok?
My guess is the spark plugs? Let me know what you guys think so I can narrow down the problem before going down on a wild goose chase replacing all sort of parts :P
