1993 190e 2.3 only goes in reverse
im new to this forum or forums in general. i have a 1993 190e 2.3 it has about 165,000 miles i got it off of craigslist. it drove fine for about two months and the one day i leave my house and its fine, i get to a red light and wait, the light turns green and my car wont go anywhere. it just stays in neutral i guess, but it will go in reverse. am i going to have to have the transmission replaced/rebuilt or is this an easy fix? please help me

Common problem, it's most likely snapped a band (b2 from memory). it'll be a gearbox out and overhaul job.

Any transmission shop should be able to help you, I'd suggest looking for a exchange reconditioned gearbox though, usually a good way to keep the costs close to budget.
