w201 lowering
I have a 1990 190e 2.6 that I want to lower. I'm thinking about addings some 16 or 17 inch wheels to it, but no more than that. I hear some rubbing right now when i'm pulling out of my house in an angle (my house is at a higher spot than the road, therefore the rain channel is a bit deeper) and i'm using stock suspension. What suspension set is best for w201? I'm in the process of mounting vogtland springs with bilstein sport shocks on my w202, is this the best for w201 also? And one more question are there AMG springs for w201? I mean not swapped from an AMG model, but AMG springs specially made for w201? Please help.

Pretty dead for the 201's.
Another forum where I hang out could give you lots more info, but from what I've read, the H&R suspension with cut springs is the answer. Try http://190rev.net/forums

190 D 2.0
have you check mercedes-190.co.uk they have a lot of information also changing the shims that are over the springs you can lower or lift the car depending of the burls 1 is 8mm 2 is 13mm 3 is 18mm and 4 is 23m (maximum in rear is 3 and 4 in front) the change in the wheel gap is more cause the spring is inside the triangle and the wheel is outside....
