1991 190e 2.3 problems
Hey guys, I was hoping maybe there might be someone here who could point us in the right direction.
My dad is working on a '91 Mercedes 190e 2.3, engine family 102985. He says the car starts, but when you rev it it gets to around 2700 rpm, sputters, and shuts off as if it's lost fuel. One time he did get it to hold steady at 3000 without sputtering, but when he let off the throttle it wouldn't idle and shut off. It's not the fuel pump, he's already replaced that. He thought maybe it could be the EHA or the idle air control valve.
Thanks in advance guys.

Mechanic time i think
if the engine cuts out at 2700rpm Im thinking this would not be an idle/fuel pump issue....could be the injectors are clogged but I think that rarely happens on MBs (mine is a 1991 2.3 with 220K miles)
How old are the spark plugs and wires?
