190e, New fuel distributor, still doesn't start.
Hey guys!
I am working on my moms 1988 190E 2.3 non 16v last summer and was trying to get it too start and had no success. It had sat for at least 6 years. I replaced the fuel pump last summer and now have good pressure. the fuel distributor didn't seem to be working and I lost interest after school started. I just found a fuel distributor at a pick and pull ($14!) and went and got it, after installing it I cleaned out the injectors in a ultrasonic cleaner and blew them out with a air compressor (after doing this I realized that this might not have been a good idea) but they were pretty dirty and now seem to be cleaner.
It sounds like it is trying to fire on one cylinder but not the rest when I turn it over. I checked all the wires with a timing gun and we seem to be getting spark on all 4. When the injectors were out I hooked them up and they shot out gas. everything is back together and it still doesn't start, I am just wondering what the next plan of action should be?
There is a similar car at a pick and pull that I have access to (It is a 1986 190e that I pulled the fuel distributor from) if I need any parts.
Ps. The fuse in the relay behind the battery (I don't know what it is called) was burnt out and I replaced it, it did not help though and it does not burn out anymore when I turn it over)
Thanks guys!

HI there,
Did you chck the gas pump? Under the rear left seat... It sometimes can get stuck. You should be able to hear the pump hiss whn you switch on the ignition. If you don't just hit it with a broomstick or something several times.

I did replace the fuel pump a while ago and I have plenty of fuel pressure. It is odd it seems because I have fuel and spark (and I assume I have pressure) but it does't start. Is there a way I can check the timing?
