1993 Mercedes Benz 190e 2.6L
Need help with my hood!!

Hi. I own a 1993 Mercedes Benz 190e 2.6. I recently had to change my serpentine belt because the way I had has never been changed since the car was built. So of course I had to remove the radiator bridge and things like that. But, there's another problem now. My hood doesn't open anymore. I screwed every screw in that goes in the radiator bridge and things. I don't know what to do at this point. And, I don't want to break my grill just to access then hood release. My hood latch release still moves so I'm assuming that the cable might be disconnect. But, how exactly can I get my hood open and working properly? I have another project to do on this vehicle. Please help a fellow Benz-owner out. Much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Had a similar issue. If you are looking at front grill, peer through the grill top right side. Just under the top front hood brace, above the radiator, there was a small cable hanging down. It routes just under the brace, but mine came loose (my fault) and was hanging down a little bit. Used a metal rod with a hook at the end to wrap around cable, pulled it towards me, and pop went the hood. This is my first contribution and hopefully this helps someone.
