How tough to find and have installed headlight wipers?

The car I'm trying to buy doesn't have them. Would it be ridiculous to ask a mechanic shop to find them and install them assuming that's possible?

It would be ridiculous to pay a mechanic do it as it so easy to DIY , once you find all the correct parts.

Do you have the USA or the Euro lites? Each uses a different set of wipers and parts...

Well then I guess I'm ridiculous as I'm just going to have it done. My time is more valuable than that.

It is really easy with normal tools....a few hours gets it all done.

You make more $$ per hour than what your mechanic charges? ...and you drive a W201?

I hope this guy is just trying to be funny with this unfortunate statement as many if us here are doing pretty good in life and own a 190E just because WE FCKNG WANT TO.

Tudo, to try answer the question you pose, my guess is YES.

This wipers were a factory option for many models so chances are you could source them used (I imagine the dealer would be expensive but you should ask the question there anyways to have an idea).

Once you get the parts, then a good Benz tech should be able to install.

Yeah, I was attempting at 'some' humor in there. My bad.

But I guess the joke is on me if a W201 owner chooses to pay a mechanic what is essentially almost as easy as changing out a spark plug. You go man!! perhaps he can change out your wiper blade too and add air to your tires..

I absolutely loved my old 2.6 from 1992, I regret selling it actually...trying to find it on here every once in a while.

Right on Mercs Dude and let me take it a step further I'll pay the tech to find me the parts and install them.

Ain't life grand when it's grand!
