rough idle
Hello all. this is my second 190e, I feel pretty comfortable with working throughout the vehicle. I bough this 86 last month. And I have noticed the previous owner didn't have a clue. I have a idle problem, where it will start and then it idles back and forth like a chug and now the economy Guage is staying more to the red. I looked around the injection system to see If anything was out of ordinary. but there was nothing. Some help from the pros would be greatly appreciated.

If you're not familiar with the CIS fuel system, I would suggest not tinkering until you get a good understanding. The Mercedes shop manual for the M102 engine is available and it's the same system that many other cars used, like Volvo, VW, Porsche, Jaguar, so any shop that works on vintage 80's Euro cars should be able to sort it out, but the MB engine manual is more specific.

I have the hard copy, however it does appear to be available as downloadable PDF files along with the W201 Chassis and Electrical Troubleshooting Manual (ETM) on various CD's and sites. I did a Google search and some appear to be free downloads, but I can't vouch for them being free of malware or spam, which I doubt.
