2.6 Starts and Immediately Dies
I bought the EHV (electro-hydraulic valve) from a supplier online I have never heard of before so that part could be suspect.
I guess I got used to my 84 190D that would hold good fuel pressure even for months at a time after sitting. That 2.2 diesel would start running before the ignition key was even released so maybe my expectation is higher than it should be for this gas engine.
It will start, but it requires a little cranking and a little gas pedal. It runs rough momentarily then is fine. Reaching into the car and turning the key to start without doing anything else will fire it up but immediately but it dies as I mentioned unlike the 190D that fired up immediately and stayed running..
Any thoughts on this? Fuel pressure issue maybe?
