2003 s500 4matic, 1986 190e 2.3 16 valve
California emissions
Hello everyone, I have a 1986 190e 2.3 16 valve that needs work to pass California Smog. the car is not a California car. My daughter is based in Miramar and has the car out there and needs to pass Smog. My question is, what will be needed to pass this emissions test? she did take the car to a local station and the car failed... if anyone can help please...Thank you, Mike.

Thank you Plutoe, yes she drove the car on a 45 minute trip just before the test. Now she's been told by the military officials that if the repairs needed will exeed $450.00 this emissions issue can be waved. Needless to say it will stay as is. She is only in California for two years then back home to Pennsylvania... Thank you again sir...
