Which brand and type of ignition?
Well, I've saved up some money and I want to do the ignition in my car. I've heard about 3 companies, Jacobs, MSD, and Nulogy that have ignition systems that work with 190's, but I've heard mixed reviews. I've heard to stay away from Jacobs, I haven't heard anything about Nulogy, and I've heard a few good things about MSD. What would you guys recommend? (Please be very specific, I'm pretty dumb about cars.)
Thanks
Thanks

I currently have Jacobs plug wires on my '87 190E, as of 2 years I haven't had a problem. I picked Jacobs because they were of cheaper cost than OE Bosch and the wires that were on my car were in poor condition. I wasn't looking for any performance gains, just a replacement set. As for the rest of the parts (cap, rotor, spark plugs, and coil): these are all OE Bosch products. The spark plugs are H8DC.

To create more power, you need to start with higher compression, then get more air in to the cylinders, and then have a way of getting the exhaust out with less restriction. The ignition isn't the place to start on the 2.3L 8 valve engine. Take a lesson from the Cosworth 16 valve engine in the 190E.

I've already done the exhaust, and I'm looking into how to do the intake. I'm talking to guys at 190revolution. I'm getting bits and pieces here and there, but any more help will be appreciated.
