Bad running 1.8 auto 1990
Hi All,
I'll get straight into the issue.....cold start doesn't take long to fire up but doesn't want to tick over, revs hunt at the beginning to around 1200 then within 30 seconds drops to around 350-600 and thats if it doesn't cut out and stall. Once I've actually got it going (literally a fine art of start-drive-foot to the floor!) then it runs like its missing up until you hit 3500rpm then its as if its a different car? picks up as you would expect etc. Once warm the car is slightly better at idle but still not running as it should? The parts I've changed so far are:
dizzy cap
rotor arm
leads
plugs
ovp relay
fuel relay
fuel pump
fuel injectors
fuel filter
temp sensor
idle control switch on throttle
all vacuum pipe rubbers
alternator
coil
AFM air flow potentiometer
lower rubber boot for fuel distributor housing
vacuum valves
All these parts replaced brand new.
Any ideas?? :'(
Regards
Steve
