Cold start injector signal
Gents - i have a 93 190E 2.3L (M102) Can anyone tell me where the signal to fire the cold start injector comes from?
I know there is a temp sensor that channels through ECU and then to injector. Which sensor? There is a 4 pin water temp
sensor at front of engine, 2 pin temp sensor for aux. fan, and two other sensors very close in the same proximity. I understand
there is no thermal time switch on this version of the M102 motor? Am i safe to assume the main signal to fire cold start injector/valve
comes from the 4 pin water temp sensor (large black connector)? I would like to try replacing this before springing for the expensive
injector. Extremely hard starts and long crank times when cold, runs and starts fine when warm. ? Thanks Gents.
