Hiya all! A month or so I saw a benz on the side of the road for $950 with 100,000 miles, and as a broke 18 year old, I sprung for my dream; to own and drive a vintage benz. I test drove it, the transmission and acceleration was good, steering and brakes were fine too. I haggled till i got it to $850. I drove my new dream car home and had 5 miles left from my house when the car stopped accelerating. I also heard it running rough. got it towed with a family truck to my house. As a young mechanic I did the first thing anyone would do; checked the oil. when i took the oil cap off, i saw smoke & smelled gasoline. Very unhappy about it. At first I thought it was the old mechanical fuel injectors leaking gas into the oil. I changed them but as i was changing them, I saw that they looked pretty new. I also saw that these parts were faulty. I'm just trying to figure out whats wrong. I believe it has to do with the fuel distributor and assume it's the wires that are hanging by a THREAD. I cannot seem to find much information on my car, I've tried looking for a dealership repair manual as I'm pretty smart and have taught myself how to wrench on cars through the internet. If anyone could tell me what these parts are and where to get em/ how to fix em that would be wonderful. PS: i really don't want to resolder the wire and try to fix the connector pins as i do not think i'd do the best of job. ANY information y'all got would be wonderful.

I may have bought a Lemon, but that's okay, I'll make Lemonade!
Thanks! ~Matt
