Left front speaker stopped working
I've had the car for a week now. Nothing was wrong with it, actually it is perfect but I have had a problem as of yesterday. I took it for an oil change yesterday and it came back with the left channel of the speakers not working. The bass was still coming out of the door panel (1993 2.6). So I pulled up the centre piece by the shifter knob and pushed in the fader switch's connector on the bottom side and then the rear came back. But the front left is still completely silent. I cannot for the life of me open the little black box that houses the 8 wires for the fader. I am assuming 4 speakers, 2 wires per speaker. So maybe the lect front's wires are loose? It was fully functional upto when I got the oil change and they did nothing during the oil change to the rest of the car, it was quick and no one turned the radio on even. It is not the head unit since it has one stereo feed that powers both front and back. Since the rear left is fine I have come to the conlusion it is in that little fader box. How do I open that box? It is on such a short piece of wire i can hardly even see the bottom of it let alone open it up to try to make sure all the wires are secure.
