722.4 tail shaft housing removal
Anyone know if it is possible to remove the tailshaft housing from a 190E/D (722.4) while in the car?
From underneath, it looks like I will have room, but not sure is there is anything (internally) that would prevent me from removing the casting once the bolts are out (and output flange is removed).
Two of the bottom bolts were found loose and even after tightening, the leak has continued where the housing mates to the body of the trans. I have the gasket (and a new output seal while I am at it), but did not want to get everything removed just to find something is holding it from inside.
