Hello fellow W201 owners, I recently purchased a 190E 2.6 and I have a few questions.

The car has 160k miles on it and burns a bit of oil... The headgasket needs to be replaced, but I am also looking into rebuilding the motor. What kind of rebuild kits are out there for the 2.6L motor?

The only other problem with the car is the ABS the light recently coming on. When gently slowing down on a flat road the ABS kicks in....???

Hey everyone, noobie here too! Just picked up a 190E 2.3 with blown headgasket from a stuck thermostat. Tore it down to the head in about 2 hours and the headgasket looks pretty gruesome. Anyone know of online/mail-order sources for a new headgasket? Better yet a top-end seal kit?

I'd recommend going to Performance Products and getting a free catalog. Good listing of parts/names of parts and a blow-up diagram of various systems.

Can't help w/ the ABS issue.

Congrats on the purchase. Got the head off in two hours? Sounds like you know your way around German cars. You wouldn't happen to be "Danno" from the Rennlist? Back to your question....I use one of two sources for parts

Sorry for the late reply. It seem one of your ABS sensors (located at your frontwheels) is failing. I had to replace both front sensors of my 190E 2.6 at 215.000 km.
