Remove under dash panel??
Have to replace my stop light switch, but of course have to remove the drivers under dash panel (knee bolster) to get to it. Removed a single screw in the rear I found and the nut under the carpet but is still fastened somehow to the dash. Hate doing things for the first time...........

where those two strips are that are a different color on that bolster near the top, pry them off wtih a screw driver. There should be three philips head screws. Then take off that washer you found and voila. Also check out 190revolution.net for more help.
