A/C and Turn Signals problem
Alright, I've been driving my 1991 190e 2.3 around recently and I'm starting to have some problems. I had my A/C recharged with R-12 last weekend and I also installed all of the correct fuses in the engine bay fuse box. Since then I've had this issue where I turn the car off and the radiator fan doesn't turn itself off. My A/C guy suggested that my thermostat is bad, though my temp gauge marks a little bit above 80. I am replacing that when it comes in the mail as preventive maintenance. Even though it's recharged, it's not thaaaat cold. Anyway, I quickly found that if I push the fuse tab or break the connection with slot 1 of my fuse box, it will shut off the rad fan. I was thinking that maybe it's a ground issue? I also noticed that the slot 3 fuse tab is very, very hot to the touch.
in the last 2 days, I've had this problem where suddenly both my turn signals and A/C turn off at the same time. It turns off the blower motor and it even turns off the compressor because I also lose cold air while the car is moving. I seriously don't know what is going on with the car now. Playing with the outside A/C fuse and fuse 1 don't always temporarily fix the problem even though the A/C fuse gives an audible click from my finger grounding the connection.
Also, if I drive the car without turn signals and A/C, eventually they turn back on, signaled by the buzzer from the car. Same as when you first insert the key and turn.
And I got this thing where stepping on the brake pedal fluctuates the fuel tank level. The stupid digital temp display on the dash also reads incorrect temperatures :/
