190E 2.0
205/55 R15 on a standard 190E

Anyone got any experience with putting the 2.3-16 tire size on a standard 190E 2.0 or 1.8? Is there any difference in the chassi/wheel housing that would be problematic and cause rubbing? As far as I know the 2.3-16 body kit stuff is just cosmetic, and doesn't actually make room for wider tires.. I already have 7J alloys.

Not sure as most W201 owners own the North American market cars and not the European market cars, myself included. It's possible someone here might know the answer. You might also try www.mercedes-190.co.uk as most of the owners in that forum own the European cars so they might be more likely to be able to answer your question.
