Final counterpoints-My car has zero deferred maintenance and has been garaged and taken care of since new. So I guess it must be my fault then that one of the door panels lifted, the e-brake button broke, the third brake light failed, the engine needed a complete valve job and head gasket? Not to mention solder joint failure in the OVP, fuel pump relays, climate control box and antenna control module.
These are all real world failures I've seen on well taken care of W201s that get regular usage.
For the record, W201s have been used around the world as taxis for years, accumulating hundreds of thousands of miles on them. Their durability has been well established..

Interesting post. The OP Marvin3000 posted 10 days ago and never commented again. So I guess none of our comments helped him/her in any way.....

For all of you non engineers who think you know everything, it was an engineer who invented the automobile that you now take for granted and it was engineers who invented most of the technology in general that you now take for granted. We would have a very different world if it wasn't for engineers.

You're one of the non engineer know it alls showing such disrespect for engineering expertise because it's expertise that you don't have and never will have. Your personal attacks and name calling further make my point and show how weak and pathetic your argument is. You're pathetic. It's time to move on from this thread. There are experts who know more than you do in this world. It's time for you to deal with that reality and get the message to move on..

I'm wondering if I could help break this endless loop. Would it help if I declared you are BOTH right?
Not sure if there is a moderator for this site but this is about the time when a moderator would step in an close this thread for further comments in the normal world.

- Cheers!

Mm say what i didn't say anything about a protectant read my posts .. and yes in fact I was Air Force communications engineer at Davis-Monthan AFB 612th ACS and am a scientist with multiple degrees so dont make ASSumptions .. every scientist includes engineering , humans we all make mistakes now go wash the rankles out your vag out and stop crying on here nobody cares but you and btw I'm just humoring you.
