Hi Guys, I bought 190E 2.3L European Made. Car was a mess as the wiring on it is all over the place. Working through the stuff now Using what ever info I could find. I want to upgrade the car as it doesn’t have any AC and also would like to boost power if needed change the engine. The current engine has many issues and chief among them is wiring harness is a mess, the other being parts are hard to find in America. Even dealers sometimes tell me they can’t find them. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. Thank You.

I would suggest you try the MB Classic Center in California. They know these cars well. It might be a little harder since your car would be considered a "grey market" car but maybe upgrading to U.S. market parts will be helpful. I'm glad you're making the effort to get this car back on the road in good condition as these are great cars when well cared for. Some pictures of your car would be nice.too.

My personal, actual experience with the MB Classic Center is just the opposite of what you say you "heard". My friend at the MB Classic Center couldn't be more helpful or more knowledgeable about my 190E I don't hesitate to contact him when I feel I need help with my 190E. I would further point out that low mileage, concours condition 190E Evo IIs are now worth more than $400,000 and will only increase in value in the coming years. This makes the 190E Evo II one of the most valuable MBs ever built.
