Window Tint

Living in sunny California, I've found window tint is a must these days. Besides keeping the interior cool and preventing fading, the AC also doesn't have to work as hard. I only have to turn the AC up about halfway to keep the car cool when it's 90+ outside.
I've got my car fairly dark, 18% rear, 55% front.

And the red one next to 355 is mine right after the tinting was done at his recommended shop. Slightly less tinting but the affects are similar, less AC demand and protection of the interior parts now that I have replaced most faded/broken pieces.

I hate my dark window tints but I think they are keeping my door panels from shrinking any more, so they stay for now....ugh

Glad you made it over here Nate! I used to have limo tinted rear window on my green car and could never see out at night.
I think Dolucasi made a good choice w/ his car, 35% fronts and 30% rears/sides. Here's a side by side shot.

The main thing I dislike about mine is the color. It is a nasty purple, almost like a strip club or something. I tried to peel the back window off and made a major mess, took hours and came to pieces. It's a big project I've been putting off....

I hate the purple tint problem. It's caused when someone uses basic dyed tint, after years it will fade and turn purple. Had the same problem in my green car. See if you can get a steamer (like the clothes ones) It seems to work pretty well.
Then re-tint using a good quality film, Dolucasi and I have Suntek which is pretty popular.
