Galvanized tank?
Do you know if the 190e gas tank is galvanized?
I put couple of bottles of vinegar in and it looks like this.
I'm wondering if the vinegar did such a great job or it wasn't rust but instead just turned petrol.

Certainly looks to be coated with something or galvanized. I have personally never had much luck with vinegar and I even bought the hardcore 30% stuff.
I send mine out to have cleaned and coated. That is rust and I would not recommend using that tank as it looks without being coated

That's pretty clean! The ones I send out come back with a purplish reddish coating that may be beneficial for that exposed metal. I would think the terrible ethanol fuel would start the rust all over again once below that level. Maybe that's something a DIY'er could do themselves?

I believe this is the pinkish/purplish sealer. I put it in with an equal amount of hot water, sloshed it around, let it sit for a day and drained it.
I'll let it sit to dry for about a week before I put gas in it.
