Impact strips question
Are the impact strips the same on all years? 84-89 part number i think is 201-885-01-21 and 90-93 part # is 201-885-12-21. But visually they just look the same to me. Are they interchangeable on all W201s (US spec at least)?

If they are different at all it should have been 84-88, and 89-93. Because 89 is when the body moldings changed. I always thought 89-93 is the same. I can not speak for 84-88. You seem to be be around me somewhere, what year is your car?
