Note taken, but do you know of any additional fuses, relays or components to check?

AC works immediately AFTER starting the car too but something is definitely tiring out before I can enjoy the AC….its weird that it works at all times with the windshield defrost(full heat too) but not the up arrow unless the car was just started and then it quits after a while

i thought it was completely nonfunctional and discovered this randomly the other day that it does

See what it does when you start the car without the A/C on. The A/C might be shutting off with the car not running as a system defense mechanism. Start the car first, then put the A/C on and then see what it does.

Okay so all buttons off first, I started the car. Clicked AC and arrow up button….It seems to only blow 1 minute at a time cut off 20-30 seconds and then blow for another minute. It is warm today and I can tell the air would be cool and actually comfortable if it stayed on to build up.

As far as the climate control buttons go, I was roughing it with just the windshield defrost for heat in colder months but it worked at all times. They all seem to be 1 minute on 30 seconds off intermittently…it has to be something minor

I've had my A/C set the way I like it for so long that I don't pay attention to it other than to turn it on or shut it off. It works great. I run it on cooler days and turn up the temperature dial up just to keep everything well lubricated and working. Your problem might be in how you're using your buttons. Refer to your owner's manual for the correct settings and see what happens by doing that. You might be giving your system mixed signals and that's why it's shutting off.

Betterdaze-

My 1992 2.3 AC started acting up similarly too. The AC works if I first start the car, then after I few minutes no cold air. I could hear the AC compressor clutch intermittently cycling on off every few seconds. I won't have time until later this week to diagnose. ( I have not tried different vent combinations. )

Is this your issue too?

Yes that sounds similar. There is usually a click when it turns itself off. That and the heat from windshield are the only issue, I can tell the AC would be comfortable otherwise
