1986 190E 2.3L Missing
Hi. When you start the car, it starts but then you have to give it a lot of throttle to keep it going, otherwise it seizes. Once it is "warmed up" and doesn't seize, once it gets going it keeps missing. Any ideas? Thank You

I've been messing around with it today and have concluded several things. First off, I replaced the spark plugs which were very worn with some new Botsch Platinum plugs. Performance has been better, but it is still missing a little bit. While idleing in the driveway, the car does NOT miss, even when I rev the engine up. Once, however, I start driving it, it misses while accelerating. Once I reach around 40 mph, I doesn't miss as much. Another thing is that while going uphill, the car constantly misses and "jumps" forward and backward while climbing. I personally think that the problem is either in the wiring or possibly something wrong with the fuel in that it is starving the engine. I am not a car expert, nor have prior experiences with Mercedes, so I would appreciate any ideas from anyone who knows about this engine. Thank You.

OK... I replaced the:
1. Spark Plugs
2. Spark Plug Wire Harness
3. Checked the Engine Timing --> Timing Is Perfect
4. Put in some fuel injector cleaner stuff
Yet it still is missing. I had a mechanic friend check it out and he doesn't know whats up with it either. Any ideas?
Edit: I found This website that says to replace the coil. Do you think that could be a possibility?
Edit: I tested the ohms of the coil and they were bouncing everywhere! Also, even though it was bouncing, it never reached the appropiate range. I am going to place an order to a new coil I guess...
