V-8 in W201?

V-8 in W201?
Was just curious, I know that the W201 could hold the same M103 block engine as the W124. Since the W124 could also hold the V-8 engines, does that mean you could shoehorn a V-8 into a W201 body? Has anybody seen a car with such modification?

In addition, AMG, Brabus, Carlsson and Shultz V-8's have found their way into the W201 engine bay and from other makes as well, all custom tuner transplants. If you have lots of time on your hands, and the fabrication capabilities for mounts, steering systems, transmission consoles, drivetrains and wiring . . . along with the $, anything is possible.

About 1992 I was at a BMW club drivers school at Road Atlanta and Jos Bekkers (of Bekkers imports) had a Brabus 190 there with a Mercedes V8 in it.
It was fast to say the least. I wasn't that into it at that time and didn't even look that closely, but the engine fit well, it looked very much like it belonged there.
What an awesome car it would be to have today.
